Tudyah Lake. July 27th - 28th

It is less than a two hour drive from Moberly PP to Tudyah Lake PP. This is the strangest setup of all the campgrounds we have been at. No defined spots, just big grassy areas, with shrubs and trees around and picnic tables with fire rings. We found a nice spot and set up camp.

After we set up, we drove down to McLeod Lake, it is a kilometre or so off the highway. Nice little town, not much there. After checking out Whiskers Point PP., which was full, we headed back to camp.

The turn off to Mackenzie is ten kilometres back up the road, then another thirty six k to the town site. This is a very nice small town, we are so glad we decided to make a trip here. We found a road that followed the lake and found this park on Williston  Lake.

Alexander Mackenzie, some info on him.

Back to Mackenzie to look for lunch. From the road I spotted a bunch of chairs that looked like they were on an outside deck. After driving around the mall, we came to
It was small, maybe eight or so tables, there were tables outside but there was a fan running that was terribly noisy. We ordered one order of Tacos and onion rings. There were three tacos and many rings, we ate two tacos and half of the rings, lunch for the next day.

The weather has not been too bad, low teens at night, high teens during the day. Thunder storms in the afternoon and rain at night.

Next up, Ten Mile Lake PP.
