Meziadin May 29th - June 2nd
It is a nice drive from Smithers to Meziadin, very scenic. We managed to get a campsite on the lake, next to the boat launch. It was a beautiful site, and with the senior's half-price discount, we decided to stay for four nights. $44 total. The senior's discount only applies until June 15 and then after Labour Day. A nice perk to being old. The weather was all over the place but we did manage to have a couple of campfires. It is still very cold at night, close to 0 deg., mid teens during the day.
A photo of our campsite from the boat float. Our view from our site.
Jack checking things out. These flowers behind our rig. I think they will be Salmon or Thimble berries??
Our second day there we drove to Stewart, always a pretty drive. This is the third time we have gone there and each time we stop at the Bear Glacier. 2021, 2022, 2024. You can see the change in the Glassier.
There is a big rock in the middle of the picture that has less and less snow.
A couple of shots from Stewart. It has always been a favourite of ours. We ate lunch there, no burgers for me for a month or so.😋
Off to Dease and Boya Lake PP.
